About Melinda Moore, Ph.D.

Melinda-Moore-PhD-photo-bwDr. Moore holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Catholic University of America, where she trained in and conducted research on the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality, an empirically supported protocol for treating suicide. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Eastern Kentucky University where she conducts suicide bereavement research, as well as trains graduate students in suicide-focused treatments. Dr. Moore frequently collaborates with suicide bereavement researchers at the University of Kentucky and suicide treatment researchers at the Louisville Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

She is licensed by the Kentucky Board of Psychology (License # KY-1764).

Dr. Moore provides cognitive-behavioral approaches to a range of clinical concerns affecting adults, including Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, substance abuse, suicidality, grief and bereavement, with an expertise in suicide bereavement. She enjoys working collaboratively to tailor treatment to your needs and goals.
